Dear Returning KMS Music Families,
Thank you so much for your support and patience as the school sets up a safe and engaging distance learning experience for your children. The situation is constantly and rapidly changing, and your teachers are trying our best to adapt to match the challenge.
You should have received an email from the school about coming in during a scheduled time slot to pick up your child’s planner, paperwork, and chromebook (Thursday: 7th grade, Friday, 8th grade). The Music Department is ready to also distribute band, orchestra, and ukulele instruments so your children will be able to jump right into making music when online classes start.
After you drive through to pick up your chromebooks, you will be directed to park on the grass lawn fronting the school. You may then walk into campus to either H-building (band/orchestra) or N102 (Intermediate Ukulele). As you move through campus and our buildings, please remember to wear a mask and maintain 6-foot social distancing.
A parent/guardian will be required to sign off on the instrument loan contract (you may want to take a picture with your phone for your own records) before taking the instrument. All other Department forms/fees/information will be sent through the kms-music.net website or through Google Classroom at a later time. We just want to focus on getting instruments to the students quickly and safely at this time.
If your child will not need to borrow an instrument (using their own personal instrument), there is no need to come by. If you are unable to make it on Thursday or Friday, please contact your child’s music teacher to arrange another pickup time.
