Dear Kaimuki Middle School Music Department Families,
Welcome to the start of the new school year! Last year we saw a gradual but steady return to normalcy and in-person concerts. This year, we are continuing to decrease restrictions and return to more of the concerts and events we are used to.
Over the past few years, Kaimuki Middle School has adopted the use of Google Classroom as the primary online portal – your students will get most of their assignments and communication through their Google accounts and emails – though we will continue to maintain this website, kms-music.net, for parents to be able to access publicly for announcements, handouts, dates, and other information.
Music Department Handbook
Your children should have already been introduced to the basic information and guidelines that will govern their experience in the KMS Music Department. Please review the document when you can, and note the modified information for the safety and health guidelines for returning to face-to-face classroom instruction this year.
Music Department Fees
All Music Department students are required to pay a fee to support the co-curricular activities and materials required for music classes. We also ask for a small donation if you are going to borrow a KMS instrument. Most families have already done this, but if you haven’t yet, the forms are also available on this website.
We will continue to update this page and your student’s Google Classroom as we get more information to share. If you have any further questions, please email your child’s teacher through the kaimukimiddle.org website.
