Kahala Very Merry Event and Great American Catalog Fundraiser Pickup

Good morning,

If you have ordered items from the Great American Catalog, they will be available for pickup in the KMS Orchestra Room (H102) any day afterschool (except Wednesdays) from 2:15PM – 4:00PM. If you have any difficulty in making the pickup time, please email your student’s teacher to setup a more accommodating time. Please see the PDF below (page 1) to see if you have a package that needs to be picked up.

The KMS Music Program is also selling  Kahala Mall Very Merry Event tickets which offer discounts to many mall retailers from Dec. 1 – 3. Passes are $5 each and charitable organizations keep 100% of the profits.  Any students interested should bring payments in cash to Mr. Fujio in H102.  Please see the PDF below (page 2) for participating stores and discounts.

KMS Music Updates – November 2017

Hi all!

Here are a few updates that may interest you:

  1.  The Music Program raised $1,841.68 through the Great American Catalog Fundraiser campaign.  Thank you to all those who sold and purchased items through the catalog!
  2.  We have also raised  $5979.29 through the Give Aloha Campaign that was held in the month of September.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated!  The funds collected helps subsidize the cost of bus fare and events for students as well as pay for instrument repairs and maintenance. Thank you!
  3. Wilson Fun Fair KCB performance will be held on Sat. 11/18.  Please arrive at 9:30AM and concert will begin at 10:00AM.
  4. Feeder School Tour will be on Wed. 11/29 and Thu. 12/7.
  5. Winter Concert will be on Wed. 12/13 (Chorus, Ukulele, Strings) and Thu. 12/14 (Beg. Band, KCB, KSW) at Kaimuki High School.
  6. Ala Moana KSW Concert will be on Wed. 12/20.
  7. For items #3-6, we are always looking for chaperones. Flyers will be sent out with permission forms. If you are able to help, please fill out the form and return it to your child’s music teacher. Thank you!
  8. Reminder to our Spring Break Study Tour students:  If you don’t have a passport, apply now!  It could take up to 6 weeks to receive your passport through the mail.  Also make sure trip payments are being made on a timely basis.  If will be withdrawing from the tour, please inform your music teacher.

Japan Study Tour Meeting Tonight and Give Aloha Reminder

Hi all,

A reminder that tonight is the Japan Study Tour Meeting in H-104 at 6:00PM. It is a mandatory meeting for parents whose child will be attending the study tour during the spring break.

Also, the last day for our Give Aloha campaign is this Saturday, September 30th.  If you are able to, please consider donating to the Kaimuki Middle Music Department!  Our code is 78810 and don’t forget your Maika’i card!  More info can be found here.

Great American Catalog Fundraiser & Give Aloha Reminder

Hi all!

Just a friendly reminder that this Friday, Sep. 22nd is the last day for the Great American Catalog Fundraiser. Please have your child turn in his or her order to Mr. Fujio (H-102). More information can be found here: Fall Fundraisers & Great American Catalog Flyer.

If selling merchandise from a catalog isn’t your thing, you are more than welcome to make a donation via Foodland. It’s as easy as:

1. Bringing your Maika’i card to Foodland
2. Informing the cashier that you’d like to make a donation to Kaimuki Middle Music Department (code 78810) – up to a maximum of $249 per card

100% of your donation plus a percentage from Foodland/Western Union will go straight to the KMS Music Department! The last day to donate is September 30th!

Monies raised are used to pay for transportation costs (students/instruments), musical instrument purchases/repairs, and other activities that benefit students directly.

Give Aloha Flyer and Beginning Band Supply Lists

Hi all,

September is Give Aloha month at all Foodland supermarkets!  Any contributions made to the KMS Music Department (Code Number 78810) through Foodland using your Maika’i card will be increased by Foodland and Western Union’s generous, charitable program.  This, along with our Great American Catalog, are the major fundraisers for our music department. If you are able to donate, we’d greatly appreciate your support!  Don’t forget to keep your duplicate receipts and turn them in to your child’s music teacher to receive your donation acknowledgement letter from the school.
