We have a busy final two months left for this school year and we have listed upcoming events below as well as in our calendar.
Friday, April 6 – Choir Competition at Farrington High School (Chorus)
Saturday, April 7 – Parade of Orchestras at Pearl City Cultural Center (Beginning Strings,Advanced Strings)
Friday, April 13 – Parade of Bands at McKinley High School (Kaimuki Concert Band, Kaimuki Symphonic Winds)
Saturday, May 5 – Beginning Parade of Bands at Ewa Makai Middle School (Beginning Band)
OBDA Honor Band Rehearsals Tuesday, April 24 – Sunday, April 29
Beginning Honor Band rehearsals will be held after school at Kaimuki Middle School
Middle School Honor Band rehearsals will be held after school at Sacred Hearts Academy
Wednesday, May 9 – Aloha Concert 1 at Kaimuki High School (Chorus, Beginning Ukulele, Intermediate Ukulele, Beginning Strings, Advanced Strings, Concert Orchestra)
Thursday, May 10 – Aloha Concert 2 at Kaimuki High School (Beginning Band, Kaimuki Concert Band, Kaimuki Symphonic Winds)
Sunday, May 20 – Music Banquet at Ala Moana Hotel (all students)
Field trip forms will/have been sent out and we thank you for returning them to us promptly and also volunteering to be chaperones!
Mr. Hayakawa is also looking for 2-3 more chaperones from Kaimuki Concert Band parents for the Parade of Bands event at McKinley High School on Friday, April 13. If you are able to volunteer, please email him at robert_hayakawa@notes.k12.hi.us
